SCI-FI / FANTASY / HORROR

Unagented sci-fi novelists are being given a window of opportunity to get their books into print in March, as Nottingham based sci-fi imprint Angry Robot has designated it an Open Door Month and is open to unsolicited manuscripts.
Angry Robot guarantee that every submission made during that month will be read; if anything is truly exceptional, it will be passed to AR founders for consideration. AR are interested in full-length genre and sub-genre novels in the realms of sci-fi, fantasy and horror for an adult readership.
They are looking for pacy stories, clever construction, confident writing, believable characters and a sense of heightened experience. They publish worldwide in print, e-book and audio formats, and pay advances and royalties.
Details of how to submit unagented novels during Open Door Month will be posted on the website at the beginning of March; unsolicited manuscripts received before that time will not be read. There are friendly but stern guidelines on their website that emphasis the importance of fulfilling their criteria to the letter.
A year after their formation in 2009 by publishing director Marc Gascoigne and editor Lee Harris, Angry Robot became part of the independent Osprey Group in May 2010.
